Safety Protocol for Sunday Services

The following is the  protocol for attendance at Sunday Services.  Advanced booking is essential and once the booking limit is reached there will be no more places on offer for this week. 
 

Before Leaving Home

Please wash your hands
Pick up a face covering if you intend travelling by public transport or wearing one at church
Allow time to travel and arrive at church in plenty of time for the service as entry may take longer than normal
Do not come to church if you are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus

On Arrival at Church

- Entry will be via the usual entrance to the church foyer
- Wear a face mask
- You may need to queue to get in – if so please be patient and keep a safe distance from other people
- There will be no handshakes, hugs or kisses
- There will be no printed newsletter or sermon notes
- A one-way system has been introduced to enable safe distancing while moving around the building – please follow the signs
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance (please use it)
- You will be required to sign in, providing name, phone no and/or email address for the purposes of NHS Test & Trace (this information will be used only for this purpose, and will be destroyed after 21 days)
- Please pick up a ‘Do Not Use’ sign which you will need to place on your chair when you leave
- You will be directed to your seats by a steward

During the Service

- Face coverings are optional
- No singing is allowed
- There will be no church bibles available – if you require a bible please bring your own
- There will be no seat to seat offering collection, but a basket will be placed at the exit for offerings
- If you need to leave during the service, then please follow the one-way system
- The toilets will be available, but we ask that each person using them disinfects them after use
- The kitchen and coffee area will be out of bounds
- There will be no creche, children’s or youth groups meeting during the service

At the End of the Service

- Please remain in your seats until directed to leave by the steward
- On leaving your seat please place the ‘Do Not Use’ sign on the chair to indicate which chairs have been used
- The steward will sign you out
- The Prayer Corner will not be available for prayer (if you are in need of prayer then please make this known to the Steward who will arrange it for you)
- Exit via the one-way system to leave the church by the rear door to the car park area
- Hand sanitizer is available at the rear door if required
- If you remain in the car park for a chat with others then please remember to keep a safe distance
- If you need to re-enter the church for any reason then please return using the main front entrance to the foyer
